Seven members of the UCM community will be appointed to a Facilities and Growth Task Force by September 1, 2017. This is an invitation for you to think about whether this is of interest to you. A more formal selection process will happen in late August. In late summer/early fall, the Board will appoint a task force of up to seven members. The task force will also consult with the Minister, Staff, Executive Team, an architect/engineer familiar with congregations, Membership Committee, Religious Education Committee, Small Group Ministry, and Worship and Arts Committee.
The task force will be charged to do the following:
- Identify, examine, and prioritize the long-range physical space needs of the congregation.
- Creatively investigate and list a full spectrum of strategies for accessible, sustainable space to assist us in fulfilling our mission, and include estimated costs for each strategy.
- Report its findings and recommendations to the Board.
