Board Announcement: Growth and Facilities Task Force to Launch in September 2017

Seven members of the UCM community will be appointed to a Facilities and Growth Task Force by September 1, 2017. This is an invitation for you to think about whether this is of interest to you. A more formal selection process will happen in late August. Contact Board President, Jo Romano, if you are interested in being considered to serve on this task force by sending a note to jo@greenmountainlifecoach.com. Here is a little more information.

In late summer/early fall, the Board will appoint a task force of up to seven members. The task force will also consult with the Minister, Staff, Executive Team, an architect/engineer familiar with congregations, Membership Committee, Religious Education Committee, Small Group Ministry, and Worship and Arts Committee.

The task force will be charged to do the following:

  1. Identify, examine, and prioritize the long-range physical space needs of the congregation.
  2. Creatively investigate and list a full spectrum of strategies for accessible, sustainable space to assist us in fulfilling our mission, and include estimated costs for each strategy.
  3. Report its findings and recommendations to the Board.
