Two Services Update from Executive Team (ET)

The ET wants to thank all 134 of you who completed the Two Services Worship Survey. As we have made more space in the pews, we have seen an overall increase in our average total Sunday attendance. This means more people – newcomers alongside long-time members – building community and having their hearts, minds, and spirits nourished through worship. The survey results showed that we continue to have a high quality of worship in our services and that the diversity and quality of music is appreciated. We also heard that there are mixed feelings about some aspects of having two services, e.g. preference for more space versus a more crowded sanctuary; missing seeing friends but also enjoying a less crowded fellowship hour; appreciating the options and also being concerned about the toll on staff and volunteers. A concern amongst some respondents that stood out is a feeling of loss of unity.

While we will continue having two Sunday services in the coming church year, the ET is sensitive to this concern and is making plans for more community-building programming in the coming church year. Click here to download and read a summary of survey results.
