The 2020 Holiday Fair was a unique Fair for UCM. Because of the Covid-19 Pandemic, we had to transform it into a virtual fair. Even though it was “virtual,” it was still considered a success by all!

  • 100 wreaths were picked up
  • 168 pounds of fresh pecans were sold
  • 41 bakers made 1,384 baked items

Items were picked up on the first Saturday in December, our traditional day of the Fair, while observing social distancing. That evening there was a UCM Music Concert, featuring six musicians associated with UCM. The concert is now available to watch on the UCM YouTube Channel. Four outstanding leaders led each aspect of the Holiday Fair and our strong, loyal, and generous congregation was in total support!

To generate and complete all of the sales took extra assistance from tech savvy UCM staff and volunteers. As this was a first time effort, there certainly were a few bumps and hiccups along the way. But, rather magically, it all worked out, and many satisfied customers took home wonderful holiday goods.

Lastly, it took the strong determination and belief that we could reimagine the Holiday Fair during these trying times. Many thanks to John and Janet Poeton, who steered the committee and its volunteers through every step of the way.

We hope to see you all in person on December 4, 2021 for our next UCM Holiday Fair!
