The Executive Team is pleased to announce the Unitarian Church of Montpelier will resume payment of funds to this year’s Community Pouch recipients.
UCM had suspended Community Pouch activity in late March, pending a review of church finances. We will now continue to accept “CP” donations through June 7th, the last Sunday of this church year.
The four non-profit organizations scheduled to receive our donations for April, May, and June are: Friends of the Winooski River; Green Up Vermont; the Vermont Freedom Bail Fund; and Community Harvest of Central Vermont.
Members and friends are invited to donate to Community Pouch following past procedures. Either mail a check to the church with “Community Pouch” on the memo line, or use the Community Pouch option on the online donation platform. In mid-June, total CP gifts will be divided proportionally among the four recipients. Additional amounts may be supplemented from the General Fund if necessary to reach the level of past donations.
