The UCM Governing Board thanks all of you who participated in our Annual Business Meeting via Zoom – a demonstration of our commitment to the Fifth Principle of Unitarian Universalism! For those of you who were unable to join us virtually, the Board wanted to provide a brief summary of the meeting.
The Congregation voted to adopt the proposed Congregational Covenant – a big thanks to the Committee on Ministry for their efforts in developing a truly excellent covenant! The Covenant can be found on page 13 of the 2020 Annual Report.
The Congregation also approved the proposed General Fund and Capital Fund budgets as proposed by the Board, Finance Committee, and Executive Team. We recognized that the budget will likely need tweaking given the quickly changing circumstances of the world we find ourselves in, but this is a great projection for the year to come.
Charlotte Root and Paul Hartmann were reelected to the Board for additional two year terms and we are excited to welcome Hugo Liepmann as the newest member of the Governing Board!
The Congregation also approved some minor changes to the Bylaws to give the Board flexibility in setting the time and manner of future annual meetings in times of emergency. The Bylaws changes can be found on page 14 of the 2020 Annual Report.
Please listen to the audio recording or review the minutes which will be posed on the Church website.
Thanks again to everyone who made our first virtual Congregational meeting a success!
