Make Your Pledge Count! — Stewardship Message — March 2021

Make your Pledge Count at UCM!

March, 2021

Dear Members and Friends of the Unitarian Church of Montpelier,

Our Annual Pledge Drive is halfway there! Thanks to all of you who have already pledged so generously. Our pledge total is rising, rising and rising. Now is the time for a “surge,” for the big push that will get us to the level we need to fully fund our wonderful church programs, outreach, and staff. If you’ve been pondering and considering, now is the time to make your voice and your support heard. Now is the time!

Our Ministers and Staff do keep this community moving forward … but, they can only do it with our help. As the song says, “The church is not a building, the church is not a steeple, the church is not a resting place, the church is the people.” It is us, the members of the congregation, who serve on committees, teach LSE classes, provide food and community to those most in need, sing in our choir, and serve on our Board. It is also us, the members and friends of our congregation, who fund everything we do as a church.

It is your financial support, your donations, your pledges, as well as your presence, that allows the Unitarian Church of Montpelier to thrive. It allows us to be there for each other, and for our wider world.

Please pledge, and then give, generously. You have received a packet of information about pledging and our church. Look it over, check out the suggested giving-guide, and then, send in your generous pledge of support for the coming year, on-line at ucmvt.org, or by mail … or, just drop it in the mailbox at the church. It is all of us together, that makes UCM the place it is, and the place we want it to be … for ourselves, and for our world.

With warm thanks,

Sue Stukey & Charlotte Root
