March with UCM in the Burlington Pride Parade!

Join UCM’s Welcoming Congregation Committee, Members, and Friends in support of our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) community members and allies at the Burlington Pride Parade this Sunday, September 5, 2021!

We will be waving our UU, UCM, Black Lives Matter, and Progress Pride flags and banners — wear Side With Love (or other yellow shirts if you have them) tops if you have them (we have a few extras) and bring supportive & creative homemade signs, banners, and flags! Please also remember to bring extra sunscreen, insect repellant, water bottles, and/or umbrellas, depending on the weather.

Meet at 10:30 AM at UCM (130 Main Street, Montpelier) in the School Street Parking Lot if you feel comfortable carpooling (COVID-19 Outdoor Gathering sign-in sheets, masks, hand sanitizer, etc. will be provided) OR meet us in Burlington at 11:30 AM (all attendees will be expected to wear masks at parade staging areas and the Festival grounds at Battery Park, regardless of vaccination status) — if you are meeting in Burlington, parade line-up & staging will start at 11:30 AM at the Hood Plant parking lot (on King St. between Church St. and S. Winooski). The parade leaves the staging area at 12:30 PM, moves to the top of Church St. and then left on Pearl St. to Battery Park.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you this Sunday to celebrate Pride in Burlington!
