Announcing: General Assembly June 22-26 online and in-person

Q: “What do you call a gathered group of 3000-4000 UU’s?”

A: “Wonderful!!”

The Annual General Assembly of the UUA, will be held in Portland, Oregon, on-line and/or in person from June 22 – 26, 2022

Dear Members and Friends of UCM,

If you’ve never been to a General Assembly (GA), either in person, or virtually, now is the time! Every UU, of all ages, is invited. Registration began as of March 1 and is now open for both in-person and Virtual participation.

This annual, multi-platform gathering of Unitarian Universalists will take place from June 22-26 at the convention center in Portland, OR and/or online in the comfort of your own home. All in-person participants will need to show proof of Covid-19 Vaccination and a mask mandate will be in effect.

General Assembly (GA) is the annual meeting of our Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). It is a time and place for UU’s from all across the country (and the world) to come together, to conduct the business of the Association and explore the theological underpinnings of our faith. It provides time and space to renew old friendships, meet new UU’s, and learn more and more about how we worship, how we educate ourselves in ways to deepen our own spirituality and how we can help a hurting world.

There will be Plenary Sessions where we discuss the business of the Association; Celebrations and Worship opportunities, where we sing, and learn and worship, together; there will be Workshops on all manner of church life, as we learn what other UU’s are doing and get to know each other.

You can apply to Rev. Joan or the ET to be one of UCM’s official delegates, empowered to vote on our behalf at all the business meetings, or just come as yourself, and attend workshops, musical events, worship services, and learn more and more about all manner of church activities. More information is available at www.uua.org/ga — or you may attend one of our Breakout Sessions during Virtual Coffee Hour, after our Sunday Morning Worship Services over the next few weeks.
