Calling all UU’s! General Assembly June 22-26

Calling all UU’s! General Assembly June 22-26 — Online or In-person, Portland, Oregon

Dear Members and Friends of UCM,

Every UU is invited to this annual gathering of Unitarian Universalists. It will take place from June 22-26 at the convention center in Portland, or online in the comfort of your own home.

Registration  began March 1st, and is now open for both in-person or on-line participation. All in-person participants will need to show proof of Covid-19 Vaccination and a mask mandate will be in effect.

General Assembly (GA) is the annual democratic and inclusive meeting of our Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). UU’s from across the country and from all over the world join to conduct the business of the Association, to renew old friendships, and to meet new UU’s. Both informally and through workshops and ‘business meetings,’ GA helps us to deepen our own spirituality. It gives us a chance to share the ways we can help a hurting world.

Plenary Sessions focus on the business of the Association. In other sessions, we’ll sing and worship together. Workshops will share and compare many aspects of church life, as we learn more about what other UUs are doing. To sample the wide range of offerings for all ages and to get excited, check out the full GA Schedule here. Also, visit www.uua.org/ga. GA is jam packed with ideas, activities, and connections.

You can apply to Rev. Joan or the ET to be one of UCM’s official delegates, empowered to vote on our behalf at all the business meetings. Funds are available to pay delegate’s registration and perhaps all or part of expenses to attend in person.  For more information contact Steve Finner or Sue Stukey.
