2023-2024 UCM Governing Board Goals

These are the goals which all UCM (Board, staff, lay leaders and other volunteers) will strive to work towards this upcoming church year:

• Sustain and evolve UCM community meals in partnership with Montpelier congregations and organizations with a commitment to sharing resources to meet community needs.
• Lead the congregation in a process of flood recovery that addresses immediate building needs and results in decisions regarding long-term use of the building in light of climate disaster resilience and working toward Green Sanctuary certification.
• Actively participate in city and regional efforts for flood recovery and resilience.
• Expand and deepen spiritual exploration opportunities, including nourishing cohort-based small groups for connection and support.
• Raise awareness of and encourage greater engagement from the congregation in UCM’s existing partnerships in the areas of food access, housing, racial justice, gender inclusion, and climate.
