We close our 2022-2023 church year with a service celebrating the resilience, joy, love, and diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community in honor of Pride Month. As anti-queer bills, laws, and policies are on the rise across the country, this affirming service will reach into Unitarian Universalist ancestry to seek guidance, hope, and inspiration. Music will be provided by Paula Gills and Es Beaudry performing “We Shall be Known” by MaMuse, the UCM choir singing Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way,” and Eliza Thomas on the piano. You’re invited to wear one of the rainbow colors for the service – you are especially invited to wear one of the “Progress Pride Flag” colors (black, brown, light-blue, white, and light-pink) recognizing BIPOC and transgender LGBTQIA+ individuals.
