Four Wednesdays, 5:30-7:00pm–January 31, February 14, February 28, March 13 (In person with a Zoom option) Led by Rev. Joan Javier-Duval
Article II of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) Bylaws, Principles and Purposes, is the foundational covenant for all the work of our UUA and its member congregations and covenanted communities. The proposed, and preliminarily approved, revision to Article II recasts this covenant with theological language, values, and commitments for our time.
Over the course of four 90-minute sessions, we will take a deep dive into the preliminarily approved Article II revisions to better understand them and reflect on how they connect with our lives. A final vote on the revisions will take place at the June 2024 UUA General Assembly.
Session 1 is focused on Covenant; Session 2 on Purpose, Inspirations, Inclusion and Freedom of Belief; Session 3 on Love; and Session 4 on the six values of Interdependence, Justice, Equity, Generosity, Pluralism, and Transformation. Each session will include about an hour of pre-work.
Complete this form by Sunday, January 28 to sign up for one or more sessions. Participation in all four sessions is preferred.
