The Climate Action Team is working on plans for our first Climate Justice Revival on Sunday, October 6. It will be a day-long multigenerational event designed to collectively reimagine a more hopeful and just future. This new, timely program, developed by the UUA and joined by UU congregations across the country, will offer worship, conversation, celebration, and action for all UUs. We hope many members of the congregation will sign up and participate. Volunteers will be needed to help make it work. Following the Revival, work will resume on the Green Sanctuary initiative, based on Congregational Transformation, Mitigation, Community Resilience, and Climate Justice. During the coming year we expect to replace fossil fuels for heating our building with biofuels. The UUA has revised its expectations about Green Sanctuaries; instead of certification they will now offer a simpler procedure for recognizing work accomplished.

350VT presented four well-attended programs co-sponsored by UCM this summer; one or two more are planned. The next one, “Where the Rubber Meets the Road”, will be on September 25 at 6:00 PM. More information will be forthcoming.
