Making A Difference: Amy Anderson

Amy Anderson’s work with foster and adoptive families is an outstanding example of making a difference. In 2021 she founded Amy’s Armoire, “Clothes for a Cause,” in a small space next to a sandwich shop on Main Street in Barre. https://www.amysarmoire.org/

Today it is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit that runs two thrift shops downtown and a donation & family center on S Main Street in Barre, devoted to improving the lives of Vermont foster/ adoptive families by connecting them to the resources they need.

In 2023 Amy was chosen as 1 of 4 Remarkable Women in NH, VT and upstate NY by Fox 44/ABC 22.

Join us in person or on Zoom, Tuesday, February 4th, to honor Amy and learn more about how she did it.

The Women’s Alliance meeting begins at 5 PM with a brief business meeting, followed by a potluck dinner at 5:30 PM, then the program starts about 6 PM. All are welcome! Guests who stay for dinner are invited to bring a dish to share for the potluck, or a contribution towards food costs.
