Volunteer Opportunities
ET Seeks New Member
The Executive Team is seeking a new member to join our team as early as July 1. The ET is composed of the Minister and lay leaders selected by the Minister. The ET is charged with managing the day-to-day operations of the church and ensuring that we, as a congregation, fulfill our mission. We do this in conjunction with the church staff and our many committees and teams. The ET meets twice a month during the regular church year, participates in Board meetings several times a year, and takes on various tasks related to administration, personnel, church finances, building upkeep, and management of church programs. Chalice Circle Facilitators
Our UCM Chalice Circles bring together small groups for deep listening and sharing. They are a great way to connect with other members and friends, build relationships, and deepen your Unitarian Universalist faith and identity. Facilitators are vital. Facilitators serve as organizers, coordinators, guides, behavior models, and leadership for the group. We would love to have more facilitators available to lead additional Chalice Circles starting in the fall. This includes Seasoned Souls and Small Group Ministry and other groups that have not yet been formed! If you are interested in learning more, please contact Rev. Joan or Judith Hinds.
Music Committee Members
Next year we will be exploring a revival of a Music Committee. It would be less an adjunct of the choir, as it has been in the past, but more a place to envision/plan/coordinate ways to bring music into our services and church life beyond the choir. Exactly what that means would be up to the members! They might play a role identifying and reaching out to musicians in the congregation who might want to participate in the musical life of the church in some way, including forming small combos or bands. The committee might help plan and support events such as the Community Night we tried a couple of times this year. Contact Donia if you might be interested in exploring this!

Stewardship Team Members
The Stewardship Team, which begins to meet in the fall, welcomes new participants. You do not need to be a pro at fundraising, or even someone used to talking about money! We welcome artists, writers, organizers, teachers, etc to help us share information with the congregation and host a joyous pledge drive that celebrates all contributions to UCM. Welcoming & Hospitality Roles:
- Assist with Vestry & Welcome Table Setup as able (8 AM Sundays beginning September 14)
- Make, Serve, and/or Clean-up Coffee one Sunday a month
- Greet newcomers at Welcome Table one Sunday a month
- Tidy pews and refill card pockets once a month
- Call Newcomers once or twice a month
- Keep in touch with new and long-time members and friends; call, meet in-person, send cards, etc.
