We’re Looking for Our Next Church Treasurer!

Do you have a head for numbers and a heart for community? The Unitarian Church of Montpelier is seeking a new Treasurer—a key volunteer role that helps keep our church financially healthy and thriving. This is a meaningful and vital way to support the work and mission of our congregation.

The Treasurer works closely with our Bookkeeper, Office Manager, Executive Team, and Finance Committee to ensure our finances are well-managed and transparent. The role averages just 1–2 hours a week and does not involve handling cash. You’ll be reviewing financial reports, monitoring procedures, and helping ensure good stewardship of our shared resources. Familiarity with QuickBooks is helpful but not required—you won’t be alone! You’ll have support from staff and a committed finance team.

The Treasurer serves a three-year term and plays a crucial part in helping guide the church’s financial planning and decision-making. Whether you have a background in finance or are simply detail-oriented and willing to learn, this is a great opportunity to offer your gifts in service to our beloved community.
