Monday Community Lunch Update ~ Fall 2025
This Summer saw the Community Lunch program move to Trinity Church at 137 Main Street. There is a group working together to create a welcoming space with breakfast and a hearty lunch, Monday through Thursday. The lunch meal is served from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM – all are welcome!
During the past 9 weeks, an average of 86 meals have been served each Monday – two Mondays saw 101 and 104 meals served. Many volunteers took vacations, and others stepped in to cover where needed. You too can be a volunteer, baking, serving, setting OR cleaning up, even running the dishwasher, no lifting involved! Here is your opportunity to be a volunteer ~ sign up here for a job. Meet and work with others who are creating a positive space for all to enjoy a meal together.

A summer benefit concert was held to support the UCM Monday Lunch.
A tremendous thank you to Skye Forest for the idea and to Jesse Forest, Kaoru Azuma, Parker Shper and Robinson Morse for playing a fantastically successful benefit concert for the UCM Monday Community Lunch on August 14! The space was hot and got even hotter with the amazing music played by this international band! The lunch program will continue strongly because of this support. There were 120 enthusiastic listeners in the audience!
Please consider how you might be able to support this all-church activity, even one Monday a month. If Monday does not work for you, we are working with other groups to develop a strong volunteer base for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday as well. Liza Earle-Centers is the volunteer coordinator, contact her if you are willing to do a different day OR want more information about the Monday Lunch.
