The recipient of the UCM October Pouch is Friends of the Winooski River, whose goal is a clean, healthy, resilient Winooski Watershed.

Founded in 1998, Friends of the Winooski River is a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration and protection of the Winooski River and its watershed. We hope to create a community of stewards working to improve watershed health by reducing pollution, improving habitat, increasing river stability, and encouraging the sustainable enjoyment of our river.

The UCM Climate Action Team is planning a trip to see the improvements on the Dog River in Northfield in the near future ~ stay tuned! There are a variety of ways to donate to the Pouch:

By check ~ make check to UCM; write “Pouch” in memo line

By cash ~ put cash with note attached (or in envelope) in the offering pouch Sunday morning; please write “for Pouch” and your name

Through Breeze ~ select “Give to Community Pouch”

By phone/text ~ text “Give” to 802-266-4848, then enter amount and Pouch (ex: “$10 Pouch”)
