FALL 2026 Letter from the Women’s Alliance

Fall meetings of the Women’s Alliance: All genders are welcome to join the Women’s Alliance at our church year meetings. This autumn we will meet these Tuesdays: September 15, October 6, November 10 and December 8. We welcome an annual dues payment of $5 to help with our expenses but it is not required.

Our first meeting is Tuesday, September 15 at 5:00 PM in the Vestry, with a brief business meeting and a delicious potluck. Feel free to bring a dish to share (or a donation of $5 is appreciated). Our program begins at 6:15 PM. This month’s presenter is Michelle Acciavatti and family from the VT Forest Cemetery in Roxbury. They will show a video called “From Earth to Earth,” tell us about the cemetery, and answer your questions. The program ends about 7:15 PM.

FALL FUNDRAISERS:

You need not be an Alliance member to help out. Many hands make light work and support UCM directly in many ways!

Autumn Rummage Sale Dates: Set up and sorting — Wednesday, October 7 & Thursday, Oct. 8, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Sale days — Friday, Oct. 9, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Bag Sale Saturday, Oct. 10, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Many helpers are needed to make this successful! Look for sign-up sheets during Sunday Coffee Hours and at Alliance meetings. See Janet Poeton and other Alliance women.

Second Sunday Soup Sales: November, January, February, and March. Reminders will be in the weekly e-news. Soup makers will be so very much appreciated! See Sandal Cate.
