Together we create a place of kinship and belonging within this spiritual home. We return from our summer paths and begin the church year with our annual ingathering and water ceremony. Bring water collected over the summer to share in our collective ritual. All ages will worship together. As part of this year’s water ceremony, we will participate in the “An Empty Cup for Gaza” ritual. We invite you to leave an empty paper cup, decorated with keffiyeh patterns or messages of peace, at the table as you pour your water into the common bowl. Music will include the UCM choir singing “Stand in that River” by Moira Smiley, and selections from our new pianist Sara Huff.
