UCM Ventilation Assessment
CX Associates Report (Feb 17, 2021)
This report summarizes the preliminary tour of the building on Feb. 11, 2021 by CX Associates
- The costs quoted in the study (page 3) represent only the estimated costs of the Heat Recovery Ventilation units and does not address the design cost, the cost of asbestos removal/abatement or the complete replacement of the duct work.
- We have learned more as we have asked questions and received further clarification from CX Associates and interviewed various contractors.
- Section A, Option 1 has become the preferred option now that it is recognized that the duct work will be removed to abate asbestos.
Note the statement in the introduction “…toured the building with three members of the Board of Trustees” is incorrect and the three UCM members were Paul Ohlson, Barbara Conrey and Allen Clark, the Ad Hoc group on air quality under the Covid Task Force. The year should read 2021 and not 2020.
