In the 2020 Elections, the stakes couldn’t be higher.  Directly or indirectly, the issues so many of us care most deeply about—climate justice, LGBTQ rights, immigration, racial justice, and more—will be on the ballot in 2020.  As UUs, we are called to join forces with all people who want to organize our communities and our nation to Vote Love and Defeat Hate.  Let’s UU the Vote in 2020 locally and nationally through #UCMVotes!

Join us in the following efforts:

2020 Actions

Debate Watch Vigils

Our goal is to provide a spiritual space to reflect, discern, meditate, and be with others before the 2020 Presidential Debates. This is in an effort to connect as well as to increase participation and value-driven voting within the congregation.

Join UCM ministerial intern, Verdis L. Robinson, and members of the #UCMVotes team for a series of debate watch vigils which will begin at 8:30 pm with a chalice lighting followed by prayers and music. We will adjourn to watch the debates separately, yet together in spirit. This series is meant for the congregation and friends of UCM.

The platform will be Zoom only. There is a separate registration and Zoom link for each date.

National Call-in to Voters in Wisconsin – Wednesday, October 21, 2020 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM ET

Join UUs across Wisconsin and the country as we call voters across the state leading up to the November election. We need all hands on deck in this crucial moment to reach voters in Wisconsin – getting them all they need to vote safely and answering questions about the changing election details.

National Call-in to Voters in Florida – Tuesday, October 27, 2020 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM ET Click here to register

Leading up to the historic 2020 election, join New Florida Majority and UU the Vote to make calls to Florida voters to make sure they have the information they need to cast their ballot safely and overcome any attempt at voter suppression. We’ll be mobilizing Black and Latinx voters as well as expanding the coalition of voters in the state ready to #votelove in 2020 and put issues like police accountability, climate, and economic justice at the top of their priorities when they go to the polls.
