Spring 2025 ~ Letter from Spiritual Exploration

Spring 2025 Letter from Caitlin Frauton, Director of Spiritual Exploration

Dear Friends, Young and Young at Heart,

It’s hard to believe that we are in the final season of our church year! I am finding this particular moment of the church year to be a wonderful space to be in – reflecting on all the beautiful moments that have happened this year (there were so many shared in our recent Spiritual Exploration volunteer gathering) and filled with the possibilities of next year. It’s in that spirit, that I’m excited to share these upcoming events with you:

Community Music Jam & Potluck – Sunday, April 27

Come sing a song, make music, share a meal, and connect with friends! Join us on Sunday, April 27, from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the vestry for a fun and welcoming community music gathering. Whether you’re a seasoned musician or just love to sing, this gathering is for everyone! Bring an instrument if you have one (or one to share), and we’ll have shakers and other simple instruments for anyone who wants to join in. Also feel free to bring a friend, a dish to share, and a favorite game, but most importantly—bring yourself! Good food, great music, and meaningful connection are beautiful ways to replenish our spirits. So let’s sing our wells full together!

Spiritual Exploration Sunday – Sunday, May 18

As part of our Sunday service on May 18 we will honor and celebrate the spiritual exploration we have engaged in this church year as a congregation of all ages. And we will appreciate the volunteer teachers and facilitators who have dedicated so much of their time, energy and love to our youngest congregation members. Please join us in this All Ages service and share in our deep gratitude for the volunteers, children, youth and families who have made this year both incredibly beautiful and possible.

Looking Ahead to 2025-2026 Info Session – Sunday, May 25

Do you wonder what’s coming up in Spiritual Exploration next year? Are you looking for big or small ways to support our children and youth? Do you have ideas to share? Join us on Sunday, May 25, from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Children’s Chapel to hear about plans for the 2025-2026 church year and explore ways to support this meaningful ministry.

End-of-Church Year Scoot & Boogie! – Sunday, June 1

Get ready to scoot, boogie, and celebrate with all your church friends at this all-ages end-of-year party! Join Mister Chris for live music, singing, and lots of joyful energy as we wrap up the church year together. It’s happening Sunday, June 1 (one week before our last service of this church year) in the vestry from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Whether you’re big or little, young or young at heart, this is a time for everyone—kids, youth, families, and the whole church community—to come together, tap your toes, and make wonderful memories before summer begins. Mark your calendar and stay tuned for more details!

Interested in a Parent & Caregivers Group?

A few people have expressed interest in starting a parent and caregivers group to connect, share experiences, and support one another on the journey of raising children in a spiritual community. If you’re interested in joining or learning more about this group, please reach out!

Here’s to the crocuses, the signs of spring, and all the children that remind us to carry on with hearts as wide as the world.

With gratitude,

Caitlin
