Guest speaker, Randy Kritkausky, who is a tribally enrolled Native American, will discuss how building bridges between indigenous spirituality and mainstream culture can help us to find common ground and new approaches for adapting to 21st century realities. This service message is designed to give us permission to open ourselves to the experience of ever more deeply deeply reconnecting with our other than human kin, and to be humble and more community-oriented. Mr. Kritkausky will point to simple “first steps” toward cultural and spiritual transformation, such as seeing and listening to the messages that Mother Earth is sending us. How do we listen? In this manner, we let the healing begin. The service will feature music by contemporary Native American composers and artists.

Randy Kritkausky is a resident of Whiting, Vermont, an enrolled member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, and an historian. He recently authored a book about his journey of spiritual discovery, Without Reservation: Awakening to Native American Spirituality and the Ways of Our Ancestors. As the co-founder of ECOLOGIA, an international environmental non-profit, he has worked for three decades on such issues as climate change, desertification in China, the Chernobyl nuclear accident, and the development of global civil society.
